    Who we are

    SprayFoamCheck is the trading name of Jan Pospisil, a sole trader providing independent loft and insulation inspection services across North West England and North Wales. Contact: info@sprayfoamcheck.co.uk or 07349 718935. A service address is available on written request. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

    The service

    We provide independent, visual, non-invasive condition inspections of lofts and insulation (including spray foam and multifoil), with photographs and instrument readings, followed by a written report normally delivered within 48 to 72 hours of the inspection, unless a different timescale is agreed with you directly. All observations and readings reflect conditions at the time of inspection only. Inspections are limited to areas that can be accessed safely without dismantling, lifting fixed coverings, or invasive works. We may decline or discontinue an inspection where access is unsafe, and will offer to rebook.

    What the service is not

    Our inspections and reports are not: a RICS survey or Home Survey of any level; a mortgage valuation or any report for lending purposes; a structural survey or structural engineering advice; legal, financial or investment advice; an asbestos, electrical, gas or fire-safety inspection; a guarantee of any mortgage, remortgage, sale, insurance, complaint, Section 75 or Financial Ombudsman outcome. Reports must not be provided to, or relied upon by, any bank, building society or other lender for lending or valuation purposes. Lending decisions rest solely with the individual lender, who will normally require a report from a RICS chartered surveyor.

    Reports, use and sharing

    The report is prepared solely for the client who commissioned it, for their own information and decision-making. You may share a complete and unaltered copy with others (for example a buyer, broker, solicitor or claims representative) for information, but we owe no duty of care to any third party and accept no liability to anyone other than the commissioning client. Reports must not be edited, excerpted or altered. Copyright in reports, photographs and site content remains ours; you have a non-transferable licence to use your report for your own purposes. Where information is not made available to us, the report will state "Not provided" rather than assume it.

    5. Booking and payment

    Bookings begin with a request — through the website form, by phone, by WhatsApp or by email. We will then call you to talk through what the service is and is not, and to make sure it is the right fit for your situation; if it is not, we will say so. If we agree to proceed, we confirm a provisional date and email you the booking details, including payment instructions. Payment of the full fixed fee is required in advance by bank transfer — no payment is taken online and we do not accept card payments. Your booking is confirmed only when payment is received, at which point we send a final confirmation email and attend the inspection as arranged. Prices are fixed per service as shown on this website. SprayFoamCheck is not VAT-registered and no VAT is added. Reports are normally delivered within 48 to 72 hours of the inspection, depending on the current schedule; where you need the report within 24 hours, an express service is available for an additional £50 if agreed before the inspection and subject to availability.

    6. Cancellation and refunds

    (a) Your statutory cooling-off right. Where you book at a distance (online, by phone, by WhatsApp or by email), you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of the contract being made, without giving a reason, by emailing or calling us. Because inspections are usually carried out within that 14-day period, by confirming your booking you expressly request that we perform the service during the cancellation period, and you acknowledge that once the inspection has been fully carried out you lose the right to cancel. If you cancel after requesting early performance but before the inspection takes place, you pay only for what has already been performed and the balance is refunded.

    (b) Our cancellation policy. Once your booking is confirmed: if you cancel or reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice before the appointment, any payment is refunded in full or moved to your new date. If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, or we attend at the agreed time and cannot gain reasonable access to the property or loft, the fee is not refundable — it reflects the reserved appointment slot and travel — though we may offer one rebooking at our discretion. Once the inspection has been carried out, the fee is non-refundable and the report will be delivered as agreed. If we have to cancel or reschedule, you choose between a full refund and a new date.

    Your responsibilities

    You confirm you are entitled to arrange the inspection, will provide safe access to the property and loft at the agreed time, will ensure an adult (18+) is present, will secure pets, and will tell us in advance of any known hazards. You accept that lofts are inspected as found and that concealed, inaccessible or obstructed areas cannot be reported on.

    Our responsibility to you

    We perform inspections with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability arising from or in connection with any inspection or report is limited to the greater of (a) the fee you paid us for that service and (b) the amount recoverable in respect of the claim under our professional indemnity insurance; and we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was made, losses not caused by our breach, or business losses where you are a consumer.

    Insurance

    We hold professional indemnity insurance with Markel International with a limit of £1,000,000 per claim, covering our inspection services in the United Kingdom. Details are available on written request.

    Independence

    We are inspection-only. We do not carry out removal or installation, and we do not receive commissions or referral fees from installation, removal or remediation companies. Our findings are objective regardless of outcome.

    Complaints

    If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service, email info@sprayfoamcheck.co.uk. We acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and aim to respond fully within 14 days. We are not a member of an alternative dispute resolution scheme; if we cannot resolve a complaint, you retain your right to bring a claim in court.

    General

    These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (if you live in another part of the UK, you may also bring proceedings where you live). If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest remains in force. We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
