Who we are
SprayFoamCheck is the trading name of Jan Pospisil, sole trader ("we"). We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our services. SprayFoamCheck is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller under UK GDPR, registration number ZC185512. Contact: info@sprayfoamcheck.co.uk. A service address is available on written request.
What we collect
Booking and enquiry details you give us: name, email, phone number, property postcode and address, the service requested, what's prompting the inspection, and urgency. Inspection records: photographs and instrument readings taken at your property, notes, and the written report. Communications: emails, WhatsApp messages and call notes. Limited technical data: our hosting and security providers may log IP addresses and similar data to keep the site secure; advertising measurement is described in the Cookie Policy.
Why we use it, and our lawful bases
To respond to enquiries and provide inspections and reports (performance of a contract, and steps you ask us to take before a contract). To keep business, accounting and tax records (legal obligation). To keep evidence of the work we carried out, handle complaints and defend legal claims, and to keep our website secure (legitimate interests). We do not sell personal data and we do not send marketing emails. Inspection photographs are used for your report; we do not use them for marketing without your consent.
Who we share it with
Service providers who process data for us: Supabase (secure database hosting for booking requests), Resend (transactional email), Cloudflare (website hosting and security), Lovable (website platform), and Google (advertising measurement, as described in the Cookie Policy). We may disclose information where required by law, to our insurers and professional advisers in connection with a claim or complaint, or to a party you ask us to share your report with. We never share your report with lenders, insurers or any other third party unless you ask us to. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are protected by UK adequacy decisions or standard contractual safeguards.
How long we keep it
Booking records, reports, photographs and related correspondence are kept for at least 6 years after the inspection, reflecting legal limitation periods and our insurance requirements, then deleted or anonymised. Enquiries that don't lead to a booking are kept for up to 12 months.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests; where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise any right, email info@sprayfoamcheck.co.uk; we respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Security
Data is stored with reputable providers using encryption in transit, access controls and limited retention. No internet transmission is completely secure, but we take appropriate measures to protect your data.
Children
Our services and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy; the latest version will always be on this page with the date above.
